Mi Tierra Taqueria Food Truck Information

Tucked along a quiet stretch at Mi Tierra Taqueria Food Truck, Mi Tierra Taqueria Food Truck feels like one of those spots you hear about through word of mouth and end up wondering why you didn’t visit sooner. The location might not scream destination dining at first glance, but once you arrive, the steady flow of locals lining up gives you a pretty good idea that something special is happening here.

The menu keeps things focused, which works in its favor. You’re not overwhelmed with options, but everything listed feels intentional. Tacos are clearly the star, with fillings like carne asada, al pastor, and tender carnitas that taste like they’ve been prepared with care rather than rushed for volume. The tortillas have that soft, slightly charred quality that’s hard to fake, and the balance of meat, onions, cilantro, and salsa hits the mark without feeling overloaded. It’s the kind of street food that prioritizes flavor over presentation, though it still looks inviting when handed over.

One thing that stands out after a couple of visits is consistency. Whether you stop by during a busy lunch rush or a quieter afternoon, the quality doesn’t dip. The salsas, in particular, deserve a mention. There’s usually a nice range from mild to genuinely spicy, and they add a fresh, vibrant kick that elevates everything on the plate. Portions are fair for the price, making it easy to try a few different items without overthinking it.

The atmosphere is, as expected from a food truck, casual and no-frills, but that’s part of the charm. You’re likely eating at a nearby table, in your car, or even standing around chatting with others who are clearly regulars. Service is quick but friendly, and even during busier times, the staff manages to keep things moving without making you feel rushed.

Reviews from locals tend to highlight the authenticity and value, and it’s easy to see why. While there isn’t a formal dining setup or an expansive menu, what’s offered is done well, and that’s often more important. If there’s any limitation, it’s simply that seating and weather can affect the experience, but that comes with the territory of any food truck.

Overall, it feels like a reliable go-to for anyone craving straightforward, flavorful Mexican street food in Burnsville, with a menu and vibe that keep people coming back.

What People's Say About Place

Tried this place for the first time today and it is incredible! Everything was delicious and the portions for the price were fabulous. Service was friendly, ordering a breeze, and the buzzer to let you know your food is ready is so convenient. We had the asada, cabeza, lengua, and barbacoa, and each one was so flavorful and tender. The salsas, lime, and grilled vegetables complimented everything perfectly. My favorite was definitely the cabeza, while my brother was a big fan of the asada. Don't forget to grab a refreshing Jamaica as well! Going to have to return to try more, it was well worth the drive.

I got the chicken burrito combo. I love the side of grill onions and jalapeños the red sauce doesn’t disappoint, it is actually spicy. No one ever has a good spicy sauce like Mi Tierra Taqueria food truck!

My Favorite place to get Mexican food I love everything on the Menu . Excellent food my first recommendation for anyone asking in the South Metro. For me this litteraly goes in the same category as some other Twin Cities gems.

These are some good tacos! The grilled onions, grilled peppers smells amazing. The hot sauce is a little different than what I’ve had from other taco places, I think it’s much better. This is my new favorite spot

Whenever someone tells me they want tacos, I recommend here because they are sooo good! We moved from Bloomington but will still drive here just for the tacos! Great during the summer or when it’s nice out because they have seating options. Staff are ALWAYS helpful and friendly. Love love love this place!

Food was gas in Jesus name Lord thank you for the owner of this taco truck!! Best taco truck in the state.

By far, thee best al pastor I’ve had in the twin cities. I cannot find another spot like it. My husband and I will drive 30 minutes just to come have some tacos together. Highly recommend!!

Our favorite food truck! Everything on the menu is delicious, with quality dishes offering tantalizing aromas and bursting with flavor. Their tortillas are warmed and textured, too. We highly recommend the birria and barbacoa tacos, and the elotes (Mexican preparation of corn on the cob). Friendly and fast service, good prices. We highly recommend them! Pictured: Barbacoa tacos
